The humanities offer insights into what it means to be human. They grapple with complex moral issues and tough questions related to human culture and society across the entire span of human history. The study of the humanities also hones essential, transferable skills for successful and fulfilling careers in virtually all fields.
According to an annual employer survey conducted by the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), employers consistently list “oral communication, critical thinking, ethical judgment, working effectively in teams, written communication and the real-world application of skills and knowledge” as the skills that are “the best preparation for long-term career success.”
The Keystone Certificate for Integrative Humanities will help you hone these core skills via careful selection of courses that both satisfy the certificate's requirements and fulfill General Education requirements. You will complete 12 credits, including two foundational courses and at least two additional classes selected from one of five pathways that best complements your career goals and matches your interests.
The Keystone Certificate is designed so that you can complete the certificate without adding time to your degree plan!
